String me along (may-august 2005)
String me along is a series of 4 collectable postcards that each indicates different things you could be doing to be more sustainable. By using a piece of string you can mark whether you are doing these things already of have to do them and the whole set can be hung like a mobile, acting as a ubiquitous to-do list.
This project was done in collaboration with Dave Chiu and was the winning design of a postcard competition set up by Spongenet, a network of sustainable professionals in the building industry around London. We tried to adress sustainability in the design of the postcard and make it an artefact that would be kept by the people who would receive it. It could also become a tool to help them make more sustainable decisions at home and work.
The winning design was adapted later on, with the client, for the 2005 London Open House that they were taking part in.
