Conferences & Events (ongoing)

I've been very fortunate to have attended a few different events and conferences in the past years. I'll keep track of them here.

+ Spoke about the challenges of running a business associated with an open-source hardware platform at Reboot 10 in Copenhagen.

+ Spoke about the designing trust in a cash-less society at Crosstalks in Brussels.

+ Spoke about why designers should be interested in electronics at Pecha Kucha Brussels 3 in March 2008.

+ Took the Good Night Lamp project as an example of how an idea goes beyond hardware hacking and presented it to the Montreal edition of Pecha Kucha in June 2007.

+ Spoke about the design of ubiquitous objects at Xtech 2007 in Paris. All the details on my blog .

+ Was invited to sit on a panel at the yearly Berlin Designmai festival that talked about "what you hate about the world of design today".

+ Attended Doors of Perception 9 : Juice in Delhi to represent Thinglink. Live-blogged some of the presentations.

+ Taught a 1 week service design workshop to industrial design students in Antwerp in january 2007. Interview here, student projects here.

+ Attended the Near-field interactions workshop in Oslo in the Fall of 2006. I got in with this position paper that relates to my thesis

+ Fresh Start was presented in the poster session of the Carnegie-Mellon conference on service design : Emergence in Pittsburgh on the 8th-10th of September 2006.

+ My redesigned radios as well as my service design project from last year were presented for Salone del Mobile 2006 at the Fabricca del Vapore

+ Took part in a blogjects workshop at LIFT06 in Geneva. Did somelive-blogging of the talks I attended.
